golf ladies clubs
Ladies petite length golf clubs or regular length?
I am a 5′2″ female golfer who is looking to purchase new irons. I have been playing with petite length clubs for a couple of years, but have read that they decrease distance but provide more accuracy. Anyone have a suggestion?
The proper length club has nothing to do with how tall a person is. What matters is if your arms are in proportion to your body. A person with short arms will need longer clubs, and vice versa. A longer club creates a wider arc in the swing, thus more clubhead speed at impact and more distance. Accuracy is a matter of the clubhead being square at impact (up to you not the length of club). If you go to a reputable retailer for the clubs (Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith) they will fit you for length (as well as loft and lie) at no extra charge.
