Are you surprised by the “closet racism” in the United States?
I always think it’s funny that white people are OPPOSED to Martin Luther King day off as a holiday. You could have an Osama Bin Laden Day holiday and people wouldn’t care because it’s a day off! Some rural areas defiantly have school, even when the government is closed, simply because they don’t want to celebrate a black holiday.
Kelly Tilghman accidentally brought out one of her country club jokes on-air at the Golf Channel, and scores of white people looked at the clip and thought it wasn’t racist. Unbelievable. She didn’t even say beat him up, throw him off a cliff, she said LYNCH. It’s akin to saying a Jew should be gassed in the same context. She didn’t even say hang. She got caught in a Freudian slip and she knows it. So she’s Tiger’s friend, yeah, that’s only because he’s the best player in golf! WOW, that proves she’s not racist, SARCASM.
Oh yeah, there are people who talk trash about rap music all the time, when rock has the same problem with music that sounds alike.
Most white people are not opposed to MLK Day.
However, some believe it should be called Civil Rights Day because Dr. King is not the only person who fought for Civil Rights.
Various President’s birthdays were also removed because we were told they are not inclusive enough, and now MLK is the only person on the calendar with a day all his own.
